2019 Report to the Community
Now more than ever, we need arts and culture. It has the power to comfort us, unify us, and inspire us to think differently about challenges – including the current pandemic.
Though 2019 now seems long ago, it was a powerful year for Cuyahoga Arts & Culture and its grant recipients. That’s why, despite all that has changed, we decided to continue our annual Report to the Community. To remind us of the importance of our grant recipients and the impact of public support for arts and culture in Cuyahoga County.
Last year, our arts and culture grantee partners served more than 7 million attendees – and more than half of those at no-cost events, thanks to taxpayer support. That’s millions of reminders why our arts and culture sector and community matters. While this time has been difficult for so many, this report reminds us of the determination, resilience and creativity of each one of our grant recipients.
